Isabella Maroon

Isabella Maroon is a contemporary artist/designer interested in how containers operate as anticipators of growth, offering, renewal, and loss. Her contemporary ceramics emphasize the intersection of art and design in the concept of the vessel.

Subjective experience of environment—how light, atmosphere, and surroundings shape our mind-state and influence the way we perceive and imagine the world around us, are brought to bare through meticulous labor and craftsmanship.

Identity development and our emotional connection to color perception are combined in her process of making these one of a kind objects.

Her Vases and Cups series serve as vessels for connection both to ourselves and to the shared biological experience of survival.

Maroon strives to highlight, through contours and crevices, notions specific to ordeals and accidents brought about by difficult circumstances.
